// 350m from the hotel
The beach.
Free. 350 metres. WWF.
No umbrella fees. No sun lounger bookings. Just sand, sea and dunes — protected by WWF.
// Le Dune — Cinquale
A protected nature reserve.
On the doorstep.
The WWF Le Dune nature reserve is one of the last stretches of wild coastline in Versilia. Natural dunes, a coastal pine forest, crystal-clear sea — and not a single sun lounger for hire. It's a free, public beach as beaches used to be.
At 350 metres from Hotel Storyville, you get there on foot in 5 minutes. No car, no parking, no hassle. You bring a towel and you're done.
Dogs are allowed (on a lead). The sea is clean. The sand is real. In August it gets busy, but it's large enough to always find a spot.
Flora & fauna in the reserve
- 🌿 Sea lily, marram grass, sea rocket — protected coastal vegetation
- 🦎 Sand lizards and endemic reptiles
- 🐦 Migratory birds — the dunes are a resting stop on the Tyrrhenian flyway
- 🐚 Undisturbed shoreline — shells, sea glass, no concrete
