The Cinque Terre in Liguria is one of the most beautiful natural areas of the Mediterranean; characterized by its 18 km of rocky coastline, boasting bays, beaches and deep waters.
Recognized for its rich natural heritage the area is overlooked by a mountain range that runs parallel to the coast and which boasts hiking paths and trails with breathtaking views.
Over the centuries, terraces of vineyards and olive trees have been carefully built on this steep landscape, employing a particular agricultural technique that sought to take advantage of land which overlooks the sea along these steep slopes. These now-famous terraces make this one of the most distinctive and fascinating landscapes in Liguria.
